Why OutMonkey3 min read

One little job shouldn’t need a whole app.

A tiny digital task should not turn into a software decision, an account, a tutorial and twenty minutes of clicking around.

The job was never the app.

Most of the time, you do not want an image editor. You want this image to fit the form. You do not want a PDF suite. You want these three PDFs to become one.

That gap sounds obvious, but software has a habit of turning a five-minute problem into a product relationship. Install this. Make an account. Learn the interface. Find the one control you actually came for.

OutMonkey starts with the annoying bit.

We are building around jobs people actually say out loud. Make this photo smaller. Turn this video into something my website can use. Hide this bit of a PDF properly.

The tool should be focused enough that the first screen makes sense, and useful enough that you can finish the job without learning a whole new app.

Sometimes one little job has a few little jobs inside it.

That is where Monkeys come in. A Monkey is just a reusable recipe of tools in the right order. It remembers the workflow, not your files.

One tool for now. One Monkey for next time. Then get on with whatever you were actually trying to do.

The useful bit should be the product. Not the software around it.
