About OutMonkey
Simple jobs should stay simple.
OutMonkey is for people with a job to finish, not software to learn.
Why it exists
OutMonkey started with something very ordinary: tiny digital jobs that somehow turn into a whole thing. Merge two PDFs. Make a photo small enough to upload. Turn an iPhone image into something another computer can open. Fix a file because a website has decided it wants exactly the right size, format or number.
The job is small. The detour should be too. You should not need expensive software, a powerful laptop, an account, a tutorial, or the technical vocabulary for what went wrong.
Built around the annoying bit
Most people do not arrive thinking, “I need a compression workflow.” They arrive thinking, “The form wants 2 MB and my photo is 2.3 MB.” Or, “Someone told me to compare the SHA-256. Cool. Where do I do that?”
That moment matters. OutMonkey starts with the thing a person is actually trying to get past, then builds the smallest useful tool around it. Open it, do the job, get the result and carry on with whatever you were really doing.
When one little tool is not quite enough

We like powerful technology. We just do not think every problem needs to feel powerful. A good tool can be sophisticated underneath and still feel obvious on top.
AI belongs here when it removes decisions, saves time or makes something clearer. It should not become another interface, prompt-writing exercise or subscription you have to understand before you can finish the thing you came to do.
Respect the person using it
That means a few things matter to us:
- No expertise required. You should not need to know DPI, codecs, colour profiles or file-format jargon first.
- No account unless there is a real reason for one.
- No turning a thirty-second job into a software commitment.
- Your files and attention should be treated with respect.
- A saved monkey remembers the tool names and their order: not your files.
- Technology should work for the computer you have, not the computer someone assumes you own.
Where practical, tools run in your browser so your files do not need to travel somewhere else just to complete a basic task. Compatible workflow steps can pass a result through storage in that same browser, without adding the file to the recipe URL. If a tool ever needs a server, OutMonkey will say so before your file leaves your device.
