What this tool is for
Screen + webcam recorder
Record your screen in the browser. The aim is a useful result without making you learn a full piece of software first.
Video, GIF & Audio
Choose a tab, window or screen and download the recording directly from your browser.
Browser recorder
Your browser will ask which tab, window or screen you want to share. If your browser offers audio sharing, you can include it.
Status
Ready to record your screen.
Output is WebM because this tool uses your browser’s built-in recorder.
Before you finish
OutMonkey is built to be simple enough for someone doing this once and useful enough for someone who does it every day.
What this tool is for
Record your screen in the browser. The aim is a useful result without making you learn a full piece of software first.
Good to know
Watch the beginning and end, then jump through the middle. Make sure the picture, sound, timing and orientation survived the change you made.
If the result is for someone else, open it once as they would see it. That simple check catches a surprising number of tiny mistakes.
In plain English
For a one-off video job, you usually do not need to understand codecs or timelines. Check that the result looks right and works where you plan to use it.
For one-off jobs, a focused tool is usually faster than opening a full video editor.
File size & formats
The browser records using formats it supports locally.
OutMonkey does not impose a fixed recording-length cap here. Available memory, storage and browser stability are the practical limits.
For long recordings, save in shorter sections where possible. It is safer if a tab, browser or laptop closes unexpectedly.
