Presentation & Layout

Balance the image and text.

Move the split and see how much of the layout each side owns.

Before you finish

A quick check makes a better result.

OutMonkey is built to be simple enough for someone doing this once and useful enough for someone who does it every day.

What this tool is for

Image-to-text balance

Preview image/text balance in a layout. The aim is a useful result without making you learn a full piece of software first.

Good to know

Judge it at presentation size.

Step back from the screen or view the slide full-screen. A layout that looks fine while editing can feel crowded when it is projected or viewed from a distance.

If the result is for someone else, open it once as they would see it. That simple check catches a surprising number of tiny mistakes.

In plain English

You do not need to be an expert.

Grids and spacing rules help organise a page, but they are not laws. If something looks obviously off, adjust it rather than forcing the layout to obey a number.

A grid is a starting structure, not a reason to ignore optical balance.

File size & formats

Big images use more memory than their file size suggests.

What can I use?

JPG, PNG and WebP are the safest choices. Other image formats work when your browser can decode them.

Is there a size limit?

There is no extra OutMonkey upload-size cap in the browser interface. Very high-resolution images can still hit your browser or device memory limit, especially when enlarging them.

If the file is huge

If an enormous image will not process, use a smaller copy or reduce its pixel dimensions first. Keep the original untouched.
