Burned-in captions and subtitle files are not the same thing.

This tool puts the words into the picture itself. That is useful when captions need to travel with the video everywhere, but it is not always the right final format.

Use burned-in captions when

The words must always be visible.

Social posts, previews and quick shares often benefit from captions that cannot be switched off or lost by the platform.

Use a subtitle file when

You want captions to stay editable or optional.

SRT and VTT files are better when a player or platform supports selectable captions, translation or accessibility controls.

Before export

Check the timing against the actual speech.

A valid SRT can still feel wrong if lines appear too early, too late or stay on screen for too little time.
